Intellectual Property Rights

  • In order to safeguard existing customers who purchased FRIKAR before the bankruptcy, the founders have secured all IP rights (including patents, trademarks, domains), production equipment, as well as all trade secrets (such as customer lists, databases, encryption keys, drawings, 3D models) and all other production data and assemblies, all procedures, tests, test results, certifications, software and its source codes. 
  • The portfolio of patents and trademarks has been maintained and reviewed and necessary renewals has been done.
  • Currently, only vehicles manufactured by Podbike AS can legally use the registered trademarks Podbike, FRIKAR or our “P” shaped logo. Also the vehicle design is patented. Manufacturers who wants to make vehicles with a shape and design close to Podbike® FRIKAR® must have a license agreement with the current IP owner (Phal AS, Norway) to avoid any patent infringement within EU and other Countries. Currently there is only one licensee (Elpedal AS).
